When goods are received for export is there a process for customers to know status or to know when order is loaded on vessel and when the ship leaves?
ANSWER: If our international group is providing the ocean container services – yes they have a very robust visibility tool
Do you handle very many time sensitive products like produce, frozen foods – inbound or outbound.?
ANSWER: We currently perform trans load services for frozen goods – both import and export, we have a limited number of reefer plugs – or we ensure the ocean containers are ordered with gen sets and pre-tripped to proper setting so they are cold when we pick up the mty for a trans load.
ANSWER: On average we process around 500 ocean containers per week at our Los Angeles area facilities and the vast majority of this freight is destined to the large retailers – which have extremely demanding and unique compliance requirements and shipping windows – the time line varies by customer so key is meeting the ship window which can be hours, days or weeks. Failure to meet these shipping windows results in hefty charge back penalties that we pay so being on time is absolutely critical. It’s accurate to state our on time shipping performance is in excess of 99.8%. Our inventory accuracy is in excess of 99.9%. Our Shipping accuracy is greater than 99.9%.
What happens if you ship incorrect products that need to be returned and replaced?
