- PREMIUM OR IICL-5 (2 to 8 years old) Excellent condition, conforming to shipping conditions standards and ready for survey and ocean freight shipment.
- Cargo Worthy (CW) Over 8 years old) Ready for survey and one more cargo load. Structurally sound, suitable for project or single overseas shipping
- Wind and watertight (WWT) These units are typically over 8 years old Suitable for storage
- AS IS These units are normally water tight but are not guaranteed. They often have small damage or are older then typical WWT units . all but as is meet ISO Standards
Used Cargo Containers:
We can supply you with a variety of used wind/water tight WWT40 foot and 20 foot shipping container units and 40' High Cube shipping container units that can be used for domestic rail or trucking. These freight containers usually have good floors, doors and no holes but are used and subject to damage and rust. When purchasing used containers please specify the degree of rust and flaws that are acceptable. this can be from no rust to minor or medium. depending on your requirements you should speciy things like the container is wind and water tight, doors open and close, no major dents if that is an issue, no rust through areas, no contamination or foul orders.
like new containers are your best option but obviously more costly.
One trip containers can be 1-3 years old and manufactured overseas; mainly in Asia and are shipped with a single container cargo load. Once the container reaches its destination they are often available for sale. These containers are an excellent choice because they have not spent time deteriorating on the ocean or in a container depot / terminals. One trip containers have not been handled as many time so they do not have dents, dings and surface rust like the used "AS IS"
Insulated containers contain a layer of foam insulation between the interior and exterior surfaces of the walls, floor and roof. They keep perishable goods protected from rapid temperature changes, and are well-suited to non-powered cooling strategies like dry ice or pre-cooled cargo
Refrigerated containers are essentially insulated dry vans containing built-in refrigeration units. These containers keep perishable goods cold or frozen and are designed to operate at temperatures between 80°F and -18°F (27°C and -28°C).
